Top 5 Android Travel and Local Apps in Spain Q3 2024

In the third quarter of 2024, the Travel and Local category on Android in Spain showcased interesting trends among the top five apps, as revealed by Sensor Tower data.

Booking.com: Hotels & Travel saw a gradual decline in weekly downloads, starting at approximately 37K in early July and decreasing to around 23.6K by the end of September. Weekly active users mirrored this trend, beginning the quarter at about 1.7M and tapering to roughly 1.3M.

Airbnb experienced a similar pattern in weekly downloads, beginning at about 33K and dropping to 22.5K by the quarter's end. Active users started strong at 346K, peaking in early August at 391K, before settling at around 266K by late September.

Renfe exhibited fluctuating download numbers, starting at approximately 22.7K and ending at 17.9K. Active users showed a more consistent improvement, growing from around 216K to 207K over the quarter.

Omio: Train and bus travel app demonstrated a moderate increase in weekly downloads, with figures ranging from 11.1K at the start of July to about 11.3K at the end of September. Active users saw a slight rise, peaking at 94.4K in early August before concluding the quarter at 90.6K.

Google Earth maintained a stable download trend, beginning at 12.9K and closing at around 10.6K. The app's active users showed a consistent base, starting at 97.6K and ending at approximately 90.9K.
